Topic tags/keywords: jet splitter riving knife blade guard tablesaw

Please advise:
I’m shopping for an aftermarket splitter, riving knife, & blade guard with dust port for an older Jet TS (JTAS-10, right tilt, 3HP, 2002 White). I’ve read many similiar post here, but not many recent ones. I’m thinking newer products may be available that were not mentioned in the earlier post. I’m looking at PSI & Grizzly for a blade guard, due to lower pricing. I’m also looking at Shark Guard, Bork & Biesmeyer for a splitter / riving knife. I’m not sure which is best or if they will work on my saw. I’d really like the splitter to move with the blade, if possible.

Splitters are easy to come by. Microjig makes the MJ Splitter.
A true riving knife, and a blade guard that is usable will be a little harder to source.

I have this exacta (ha ha) saw.

I’ve looked at it and I don’t think you can retrofit a riving knife on this saw.

I went with the Micro jig and it works fine.

I wouldn’t bother with the blade guard it was basically a piece of junk you’ll be better off making your own.

My email program won’t let me type a reply to what I believe is your inquiry re: my splitters/the BORK.

The BORK will work with the JTAS.

I’ve been really happy with my BORK. It’s been on my Shop Fox saw since 2008.
