In the middle of restoring my first ever hand plane correctly. Electrolysis, painting, buffing wheel, etc. While using the search function on LJ’s, I came across this blog entry by david , where he states to purchase boeshield from the lumberjock store. What a great idea! But alas… it is gone. What ever happened to it? Lots of off-site links posted to purchase this or to purchase that. Was the lumberjock store a bad idea after all ?

I barely remember that thing, I think all it did was point you to stuff you could buy off amazon?

Even then, it would help many who are looking for stuff if it linked to amazon. Though, I suspect there was concern about amazon hogging the links for everything, while at same time better quality items elsewhere.

How about a resource page with links to where all the jocks shop at (jocks would add) and let all of us rate each link? I think a community rated resource page of that nature would benefit everyone. Why create or search for a post when we could easily just go to such a page, find an appropriate link, and see what our experience was with them? Just a thought. :)
