Topic tags/keywords: woodcraft magazine

I just got an offer for a 2 year subscription for $19.95.

How many of you take this magazine?

Do you like it?

How do you compare it to the other magazines you take / read?

Thank you…

I, also, get this magazine. I do like it but I think I enjoyed it more before they changed editors/philosophy. I liked the type of projects they used to publish a little more than the current ones. That said, it’s still a great magazine.

Hi Joe – I’ve had a couple of issues, but never seemed to find any articles of interest. Most mags are only as good as the articles in any given issue, and that’s very subjective stuff though.

I went to the store here by me one day to do a little shopping and had a look at it. Compared to WOOD, Woodsmith,or Fine Woodworking, I would give it a 4 out of 10. Not really worth the money.

I like WOOD and Shopnotes as favorites. Check them out on the web for free issues.

I have a friend who told me that you can get all the Shopnotes magazines since it started on these torrent web pages. I would never do such a thing myself, but he said it was easy and worked well.

I guess I’ll file this in the round file…

I currently get:
Pop. Wwkg
Fine WW’g
Wood
Shopsmith
ShopNotes
Woodworking Magazine

... I really don’t need another one… :)

Thank you all for your comments… helped a lot!

i have Woodcraft for a couple years…when it came up for renewal i did not continue…not because I did not like it but because i have too many mags that I dont have time to read…

For me, as a relative beginner, I think it was pretty good…the drawings of jigs and projjects I thought were good…

I still get WOOD and FWW…I also subscribe to the FWW online which has lots of videos…expensive…but I like the videos…

For the price—-i think its not bad…it is cheap (woodcraft mag)...
