Any of you woodworkers in Northern Canada or some US members too know anything about “KMS Tools and Equipment Ltd”. Just received a flyer from them looks like they have fine tools at a fair price.

Well I’m not at “northern” Canada, but the KMS tools near me is pretty good. It’s not a strictly woodworking store, more of an auto/contractor/woodworking tool store, but their price is competitive. It does have a decent selection of woodworking tools, not really specialized in any type but for most things they do sell both cheap import and better brand name stuff (unlike CT). WW machiney wise they do have a range from the cheap Maxwood/King to the better King Industrial/General International to the expensive General/Sawstop. That’s at their Coquitlam location, not sure about your’s

I believe they bought a store or two from House of Tools before the bankruptcy to expand their territory.
I did a bit of business with them a few years back but don’t seem to get their catalogs anymore.
They must be doing something right to expand in a declining market.

I went to one of there stores (Kelowna) this summer when I was on vacation. They didn’t have one of the items in their flyer I was looking for, but they got it in and shipped it up to me. Very happy with there price and service, I will use them again.

I didn’t know that House of Tools is bankrupt.

In the pass I made a lot of orders from House of Tools but at the end their shipping was too high.

Have your say...
