We just returned from a road trip to Maine (our 1st visit to that area) & found a real gem of a museum that I wanted to pass along if you’re ever in that area. It’s the Owls Head Transportation Museum located on the coast of Maine between Portland & Bar Harbor. They have an incredible collection of restored aircraft, autos, trucks, bicycles, motorcycles, carriages & more.

We were really surprised by the size of the collection. It’s a non-profit group with volunteers doing most of the restoration. Here’s a link to their site. You can click on “Discover” then “Our collections” & pick on which you’d like to review.

A few photos we took. Missed the free model T rides due to rainy weather.

Mark & Roger – appreciate your posts. Manitoba & Kentucky would be long drive to Owls Head (we took 2 days on the road from NC, but if you’re ever in that area it is a great place to see.
