I’m new to Lumberjocks and have been impressed with all the ‘welcome emails’ from members…makes me feel like I’ve been given my own key to the shop…Thanks!

I do have a question. I am in need of a planer table. Is there a place I can go to get some free plans?

Thanks,
Kzot

Welcome to Lumberjocks kzot, hang on, you’re in for a good ride. Now, may I ask what kind of planer do you have and what do you want in a table ? I built one for a bench top planer and I’ll be glad to draw you a set of plans if you can give me some ideas as to what you want or send you a photo of mine.

It’s a Delta tabletop 13” planer. Don’t go to a lot of trouble. I thought maybe aplan was floating around out there somewhere.
Thanks

I have one of the same planers in my shop that we use on smaller projects.
We cut a piece of 3/4 ply a little bigger than the planer with the out feeds down. We framed the bottom of it with 2×4’s. We then mitered four legs at a 15 degree angle , top and bottom, put a cross brace on the bottom sides and then put a center brace between the two sets of legs for support. You could add a shelf there also.
We put a set of locking casters on the legs so we could roll the planer around and sometimes we roll it outside to plane especially on nice days.
Hope this helps and if you need a photo or drawings let me know and I’ll get them for you. Don’t forget to bolt the planer to it’s base.
