Hello All,

I’m getting ready to build a chicken coop and I’ll be fastening lots of poultry wire and was wondering about using an 18 crown stapler. Would the staples be strong enough to keep the small predators out? I know a determined critter can get though most anything but has anyone had any experience doing this?

Thanks for your time.

I used 20ga 1/2” galvanized and they seem to work just fine… have had a few critters try to get in and all they did was bend up the chicken wire. 18ga should be even better.
