Had a great deal on 1k BF of cherry. Only problem, the Son’s College Tuition bill came for VT. Shall we say the lumber is gone with the wind.

Bummer, but priorities! Go HOKIES

I hate to hear that, by happy your son is going to a decent college, even if it isn’t Texas A&M or Baylor.

(Sorry, I couldn’t help it)!

I lucked out in a couple ways. Boy Wonder paid his college off by doing 6 years USMC, 1 in Iraq and another in Afghanistan. The other way I lucked out and I Thank God everyday for it. I got him back home in one piece !!! I’m one of the lucky Dad’s.

My daughter has gotten 2 degrees since being in the military (19 years) 2 tours in Iraq, 1 in Afghanastan, 1 in South Korea, 3 years in Germany and recently 1 tour in N.E. Africa. Not much grass grows under her feet. Guess you can tell that I am one proud Dad!

bonesbr549, I know how it feels to lose a good deal like that.

I have a couple of pieces of soft maple, 7”x6/4×7.5’ and a piece or 12/4×8x7.5’ rough cut I would be happy to give you if they don’t sell by next Monday, but you have to pay the shipping.

I also have a huge pile of live, white and red oak in 2’ chunks, along with rough osage orange in different thicknesses and probably a bunch of other rough lumber.

Lemme know.

Bless you for the offer but the shipping would kill me. Best of luck on the sale
