I have a project I want to try,it calls for 56 lin ft of lumber, but there are many multiple lengths,So i’m wondering if there is a free calc that I can add all the lengths in and it would tell me you need xx amount of x foot boards.

You need cut list software. I use Sketchup and a cutlist add-on that does that.

Here is you an app.

And here is a calculator.

Here’s one from itunes

I’ve got several calculators built in Excel on another computer including a brd ft. I’ll put them up on my free plans site so anyone wants them can download them, if they still work. I’ll try to do that tonight.
