Hi everyone,

I recently acquired the lumber to build a new work bench, but it’s some pretty unwieldy stuff, mostly 12/4 and 16/4.

Is there any one in the area that has a long bed jointer that I could use to square up the boards for the top?

If any body has a beefy bandsaw with a large table, that would be helpful, too, as I need to rip the boards for the top from 2 16/4 boards that are 13.5 inches wide, and 10.5 feet long.

I have a 6 inch jointer and a 14 inch bandsaw, but these operations would be a lot easier on larger equipment.

I am willing to pay for your time and the wear on your machines.

thanks,

Chris Johnson

I can’t help. Ada County Woodworkers meets June 10 at Woodcraft. There might be somebody at that meeting that can help or know somebody.
