I just found out that this piece, “Twist Of Cane” http://lumberjocks.com/Tinyshop/projects, was recently stolen from my mom. Can you imagine stealing an old lady’s walking cane? |

It a shame that people are like that I work in a auto bodyshop Chris and I have a lot of money invested in tools to make my living and had a few tools disappear (stolen) and I cant understand why people are like that and on top of that its people you work with and know what it cost to replace them and it doesn’t get any easier when you make something that nice for a love one and have it stolen I only hope they didn’t take it for her when she was using. |

The thing that really gets me is that she can’t walk more than ten feet without a cane and she was sitting at a table in the middle of the ren fair here. She was afraid to tell me it was stolen for fear of me being angry! I was dumbfounded by this and I tried to assure her that it was definately not her fault. It gives me an excuse to make a few more. I am going to add a distinctive permanent etching on it so that if anyone steals another one it will say under the handle, “For Wanda, I love you Mom,” then they will never be able to sell it to anyone, other than a Wanda. F’in prick thieves. |

what would really be messed up is if the thief posted it here at lumberjocks and said they made it. -- ~ Inspiring those who inspire me ~ |

Bummer! That’s enough to make a bull dog chew his chain! Wouldn’t you just love to find that jerk and show him what else you can do with a walking cane! -- John @ http://www.thehuffordfurnituregroup.com |

Damn I hate thieves….We work too hard for our money to have some idiot think they are entitled to take things we earned from us. It’s the pinnacle of inconsideration and selfishness. If they want something they should get a job and earn it…just like everyone else….I agree with the folks that cut the hand off of a thief as a lesson…I think we need to make the penalty high enough so we see less of this….I hope you catch the SOB….Thats really sad….stealing from a senior…what a bloody coward. -- Woodworking.....My small slice of heaven! |
