I found this online. It’s for sale and although I am not trying to promote this sale, I thought it was an interesting piece of equipment that most of us will never get close enough to see in person. Here’s the photo and description:

McDonough band saw

This is a 1946 McDonough vertical band resaw. It has a serial number 54-199 and was manufactured in Eau Claire Wisconsin. The machine is in good working order and comes with a Detroit 353 diesel power unit, roller in and outfeeds, and 4 – 6” wide blades. The machine can be picked up locally and all loading and transportation arrangements must be made by the buyer.

I think it would be neat to see a video of it in action.

Nice looking machine Looks like it could use a greater height between the two wheels, so You could cut some 6’ logs.
