I love woodworking. It is very satisfying to visualize a piece, take an ordinary stack of boards and make those boards come to life.
I enjoy stepping out to my shop in the evening to make a little sawdust. It seems to clear my head better than anything else I've tried.
In my mind, there's not much better in this world than applying the first coat of finish on a 3-month project.
I'm a third generation woodworker and the father of 2 wonderful boys. (Future woodworkers I hope!)

I finally finished the drawers. This was my first attempt at dovetails. I made them using an Incra jig my neighbor gave me. I used wooden drawer slides. The drawers were pretty time consuming. Actually, this whole project has been time cons...
I assembled the carcase and built the top. Everything went well. I used red oak on all of the non visible parts of the dresser. Now it is time to start the drawers. I am using red oak for the sides and backs of the drawers and sycamore for th...
I was able to assemble my panels and start on the interior framework this weekend. Everything went smoothly for the most part. I did have a slight scare with my table mounted router. I had routed a 3/4” x 3/4” stopped rabbet on ...
I settled on a traditional dresser style. The sides will be frame and panel construction. I could have saved a lot of time had I chosen a style of dresser without visible legs. I honestly spent two weeknights and most of a Saturday on the legs...
