Stiletto Hammer Review

Stiletto Hammer Review

52 days ago by toolman | 6 comments »

Stiletto 14 Oz. Hammer Overview Isn’t a hammer just a hammer? Well, yes it is, but as you know there are different types of hammers such a claw hammer, framing hammer, brick laying hammer and more. For this review we are going to cover the Stiletto Framing hammer. The Stiletto is one of our favorite hammers around. Out of the four guys who run this site, three of us have used a Stiletto hammer in our day to day work for a long time. Some longer than others, sorry just had to get that ...

Evolution rage Review

Evolution rage Review

If your like us you might never have heard of the power tool manufacture called Evolution power tools. We tested this bad boy the other day and it is awesome. Lots of power and very easy to control. We cut Rebar, wood with nails, plastic and aluminum. Oh yeah, it was all with one blade. They also offer a diamond blade and we cut through concrete and stone with no problem. The interesting thing about this saw is after we cut the steel, we could work with it right away, it wasn’t ho...

Makita Contractor Bag

Makita Contractor Bag

319 days ago by toolman | 0 comments »

We just got done reviewing the Makita contractor bag. Very nice bag. Lots of outside and inside pockets for tools and other items. We really liked that Makita went the extra distance and used metal clips for the shoulder strap instead of plastic. One item that some may find useful, even though we doubt we would ever use, is the rollers on the bag. Basically Makita made the bag like a suitcase with a telescopic handle and small wheels on the bottom to roll your tools to the jobsite. Again s...

Makita LXT Reciprocating Saw - BJR182

Makita LXT Reciprocating Saw - BJR182

We used this saw the other day and it is a great saw. I have always been a fan of the Sawzall, but this has sold me. Obviously it doesn’t have the power the V28 Sawzall has, but I love the blade change system. When the blade is in place, it stays in place, even if it binds. If you want to take it out, it will come out very easy. The best thing is you can change the blade with one hand. The locking system will lock into place and allow you to insert the blade easy. Besides the blade s...

Review of the Makita Drill/Driver BHP452

Review of the Makita Drill/Driver BHP452

322 days ago by toolman | 3 comments »

We just got done testing this Makita drill and love it. Anyone who has worked with or owned one of these drills knows what we are talking about. Lots of power provided by the 3.0amp Lithium Ion battery, which also helps reduce the weight. We ran it trhough some test and took some video, quit impressive. Overall this drill has great balance and lots of power

Milwaukee Contractor Bag Review

Milwaukee Contractor Bag Review

This review is for the Milwaukee contractor’s bag model number 48-55-3530. The dimensions are 24.5? L x 13? W x 14? H. This bag is made out of 600 denier material, so it is water resistant, not water proof which you don’t want for power tool storage. Never buy an tool bag that is water proof, because your tools will not be able to breath. If your tools can not breath, the moisture will eat away at your tools. One aspect we liked a lot was all the pockets. On the outside there are plen...

Dewalt Random Orbital Sander Power Tool Review

Dewalt Random Orbital Sander Power Tool Review

491 days ago by toolman | 4 comments »

As a woodworker, you need to produce a nice surface for a variety of reasons. Knowing this, we decided to test an orbital sander for this power tool review. We found a Dewalt Random Orbital Sander on sale as a factory reconditioned tool, so we thought we would give this a test. Our first impression was good. If you have been following our other reviews you know we love carrying cases, and the Dewalt random orbital sander has its own case. There is even room to pack some sand discs, alo...

Porter Cable Router Power Tool Review

Porter Cable Router Power Tool Review

497 days ago by toolman | 9 comments »

We have always liked the Porter Cable Routers, but they still need to go through our power tool review steps. The first thing we noticed was the case. When we opened the case, the router was a tight fit. We usually like a little room for bits or other items that belong with the tool. We took the router out, unpacked everything, and tried to put it back. Obviously it fits back into the case, but there is no room for any other related items. At first we though it might be heavier than ...
