I am an actor, singer and have been remodeling houses since the early 70's. I now work in the production dept. of Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatre sewing ( it is just another power tool), upholstering, running our puppet hospital and doing any quirky thing they ask me to.

I also teach women how to do simple home repair and decorating projects and sell tools chosen to be right for our grip and upper body strength. www.tomboytools.com

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Sewing is a great power tool. My wife made clothing for premee babies. I thought about it, bought an old machine a long time ago. Guess it wasn’t part of my real world. One reason my wife and I got together is she was familiar with “Norm” and all the wonderful shows that WERE on HGTV, before they became a design network. Good that you are teaching women to use tools!
