I am trying another attempt at a live feed from the shop with ustream.
It has dropped off several times but seems to have stabilized for the last several minutes. I updated my Adobe Flashplayer to see if that would help.
Here is a link to the project that I am working on: http://www.flickr.com/photos/toddclippinger/sets/72157618830672749/
Here we go-

Yes, it dropped off again.
My wireless seems fine. I think that it may have something to do with the FlashPlayer.

I think it may have to do with the external camera now.
Any suggestions?

Coming from the Detroit area, it’s a different perspective out here when people talk about goin’ to town.
It’s averaging about 110 which isn’t too bad. Unfortunately, I’m not accustomed and got a bit of a sun burn. My son-in-law told me is was clear that I wasn’t from around “here”.
I can see this as being really cool for us voyeurs, but terribly distracting for you.

Rita and I are going to a lecture by artist Ben Steele. He has a show opening tonight downtown Billings.
He is a Billings local man that survived the Bataan Death march and 3 years (?) in a Japanese prison camp mining for coal.
This should be quite interesting.

Thanks guys, I will try to include you more in the future.
CAMERA – I use a 9 year old Canon ZR45 miniDV camcorder. The tape deck no longer works but I can still use it as an external camera for the computer.
The key for me is that it uses a firewire cable instead of a USB port. This seems to be the key to streaming video for me.
The camera no longer works because it was in my backpack while mountain climbing and I had to drop it or fall myself. It fell about 800 ft down the side of a mountain and everything was obliterated in my pack except for the camcorder.
The decision was a good one since I am still here.
