LJ member Dave Mitchell and his wife stopped by tonight.

Dave, also known as Splinters, lives in the far northwestern corner of Montana in West Glacier. That is at the western gate of Glacier National Park.

He and his wife are traveling to the midwest for a visit with family and they had to come right by my place in Billings, MT. Since I live just spittin’ distance off the freeway and the KOA is just down the street they decided to stop by.

Dave is a real Montana kind of guy, a real mountain of a man! I felt so small standing next to him.

We had a great visit. In the morning, Rita and I plan to have breakfast with Dave and his wife before they take off. It was fun to have him stop by, to show him my shop, and have a good laugh. I swear that LJ’s are the best people.

I just wish we had a couple of days to hang out and swap shop stories.

Peace, Love, & Woodworking

very cool…sounds like a nice visit…

AND NOW I KNOW THERE IS A KOA down the street—-so when the week long workshop (at $500 each for 5 woodworkers???) we dont even need to pitch the tent in your yard…

see (two nice campgrounds comment)!!!! 5-7 jocks…getting together learn, woodwork, camp (they have comfy cabins!!!), fish…hmmm? Plan it for a time when work is a bit slower…hmmm? Think of a fee plus materials…(this I have no idea on…) it could be a traveling school…each summer a new jock hosts…OR its the beginning of your school…

No one signs up…NO LOSS…ok…I will shut up…how many times have I teased you on this…the truth is once you showed us those hiiking shots near your house…plus your great posts (and not toooo far for a summer road trip since I am a teacher)...I dont tease anyone else on this—-so I am not sure if this is an honor to you or if I am a pest, lol….
