      <title>Saddle Stand</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="Saddle Stand" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/230398-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>I made this saddle stand for my cousin.  It&#8217;s made from 2&#215;6&#8217;s and glued with screws (until the glue drys!).  Then finished with dark walnut Danish oil, amber shellac, satin polyurethane and a coat of clear Bri-wax.</p>]]>

Used amber mica for the shade.  The compound angles made this the most difficult piece I have ever made.</p>]]>

      <title>Birdhouse Feeder</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="Birdhouse Feeder" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/26254-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>John&#8217;s purple martin birdhouse reminded me of this birdhouse feeder that I built sever years ago.  It is a model of our log barn.  The feeder is on one end and the nesting is separate and on the end.  I made it for finches with a small access hole for the nesting area.  However, a woodpecker enlarged the hole for their own purposes!  The feeder part is accessed through what is the stall doors on our actual barn.</p>]]>
