I made this saddle stand for my cousin. It’s made from 2×6’s and glued with screws (until the glue drys!). Then finished with dark walnut Danish oil, amber shellac, satin polyurethane and a coat of clear Bri-wax.

Here is an Arts & Crafts lamp I made from scraps leftover from another project. Used amber mica for the shade. The compound angles made this the most difficult piece I have ever made.

John’s purple martin birdhouse reminded me of this birdhouse feeder that I built sever years ago. It is a model of our log barn. The feeder is on one end and the nesting is separate and on the end. I made it for finches with a small access hole for the nesting area. However, a woodpecker enlarged the hole for their own purposes! The feeder part is accessed through what is the stall doors on our actual barn.
