Location: Buford Georgia

I am a lighting designer by trade, an occupation that has allowed me to be very creative. I did 15 years of concert touring and another 18 for corporate events and one off concerts. While doing extensive traveling I would design wood projects in my mind and would be driven to scratch them together once I returned home. The creative fix I get from woodworking far exceeds my professional life, possibly because there are no time constraints and no pressure, as I am not getting paid for it. Although I have built furniture, the real challenge to me is to design and build things you would not expect from wood. I make up my own rules for technique largely because I have never been taught any. I never use veneers or wood stain; if I want it to look like walnut I'll use walnut. I always do original work, but I love being inspired by other peoples creative influence. I think this site has way too much inspiration!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
