My first turning project
I tried out my Laguna lathe and the thing is just a beauty. Well i think it would be great thou when i actually get some skill with the thing. I have bought a couple of turning blanks from http://www.turningblanks.net and received them the other day. Their was some spindle and Bowl blanks. I was very impressed with there stuff, they go thru the effort to do most of the finishing for you so you can just drop them into the lathe. SO with a loth of hesitation I decided to start with a Honey Locust spindle. This is my result that is supposed to be a wooden mallet. I finished it with Tung Oil.

Great looking mallet. Did you post it in projects?
Looking forward to more turning.
