The Wood Lab - yes, it is a bit of a mess right now!

The biggest challenge in my shop space is because my house was built in 1860, there are many places in the basement where you have to duck your head due to pipes, ductwork, etc. So I have to strategically place tools and workbenches. The second half of the basement has less of this, and is why I place my table saw and jointer in this area.

Your shop doesn't look too bad at all. Mine tends to get really messy when I am in the middle of a project and simply dump my tools on the assembly bench when I am finished for the day rather than putting them back on the shelf or in their drawer. It looks like you have organized your shop well and I like the rubber mats that you have put around the shop. They sure beat standing on concrete. You have some nice tools to play with as well.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

Thanks Scott! Since LJ allows 6 pics, I chose the best 6 I had currently. Most of the mess actually is "behind" me when I took the pic of the pegboard/workbench/benchtop bandsaw area, i.e. "below" the camera when looking at the drill press. I plan on adding more shelves in the air compressor area to hopefully find homes for the stuff that's on the bench right now…
