So a man from my boy scout troop is moving to California for a job offer and he had a woodshop. Well he was in the middle of building a snake tank and asked me to finish it for him. I asked him in a nice way what can I expect as a payment. He then tells me I will surprise you in a week. Well that was last sunday. So when I brought the tank down to be delivered, he said follow me and what a nice surprise. He was like this is all yours.

The list includes the following:
158bdft 4/4 cherry
a 14’ long by 7.25” wide piece of 5/4 cherry
25bdft of Old Barn Wood
50bdft of 4/4 white oak and a whole lot of drops

Then this wednesday I get to go back and pick up $900 in drawer pulls and hinges as well as 700#’s of nuts bolts screws and washers!!!!!! and I am buying all of his clamps and incra 1000d Miter Gauge off of him. So here is a couple pics of the wood.

This is a good size portion of the load ^

The 14’ Board

What I sorted through and kept all of the best drops

First part of the cherry

All of the boards on the tractor ready to be stored.

Oh and my favorite part 2 BOARD FEET!!!!!!!

Hey Rookie, I have a Yanmar 186 D 4WD that I use the heck out of. Good tractors.

Daaaaammmn…
That is Saaa-weeet…

Ok, guys… this is how the deal goes down…
1.) “The rookie” gives me half of his gloat and the tractor.
2.) I let you other guys touch the wood but, NOT the tractor… you can just watch while Ms. Bertha and I drive it around the yard…
HEY! I got excited when I came across an 8’x3” Poplar closet rod!

HA~!

I just read, ”...Oh and my favorite part 2 BOARD FEET!!!!!!!” under the last pic.
So what?! Big deal?! Pfffft!!
I have two left feet, cloth ears, a knot head and lead in my butt.
Sorry… had to go there… guess I don’t do envy very well.

For smaller jobs, sometimes I just let them choose the price. Many times I am surprised. Nice gloat.
