This was my first chainsaw carved piece. I hand carved for a year before I picked up the saws.

THE LANCELOT IS A SMALL 3 1/2 INCH CHAIN SAW THAT IS GREAT FOR VERY SMALL HOGGING OUT OF WOOD. MIGHT HELP IF YOU GET INTO IT IN A MORE REFINED CARVING. VERY RUSTIC AND COOL.

The book chair is silver maple but i use all kinds of wood depending on the piece or what I drag in. Thank you for all the nice comments. jockmike2, I’ve heard of the lancelot but i haven’t tried it, does it have a round head with chainsaw teeth on it?
