My shop is down in the Man Cave (read cellar). Still in the formative stages, I need to make some sort of cabinet for all my planes, drills, chisels and so on. There is a new band saw and planner as well as a 1952 Craftsman tilting arbor saw, a 1960’s vintage Craftsman joiner, and a 1942 or so Craftsman lathe. Dust control is done by an entry level Grizzley dust system.
I,ve been reading Chris Schwartz’s books on bench design and construction and experimenting on my 2×6 Grossmans close out work bench. I retrofitted a Wilton 7” vise to the front and am quite happy with the results. Next step is a sliding deadman!
Still haven’t gotten to doing a bench yet, but the hardware seems to be growing.
