Thanks for the warm welcome!
I am looking forward to participating in the camaraderie with fellow woodworkers. Well, here is my first question. I have become proficient in spraying (HVLP) water based paint. I am ready to start my next project using pre-finished maple ply wood. I don’t know what the pre finish medium is. Does anyone know what it is and will it take a water based primer and finish coat?

The Mitre Joint (TMJ) started as a one man, yacht joinery shop thirty years ago. TMJ designed and executed projects, from yacht repairs to complete interiors. Now, and for the past twenty odd years, TMJ (still a one man shop) concentrates on residential commissions.
I am semi retired now, I drive half way to work, forget where I am going, turn around and go home.

Welcome aboard, the mitrejoint. You are located near me, I believe, since your work is in Maryland.
I do a lot in Annapolis.
Well, Hope you have a great time here.
By the way, I’m not semi-retired, but I still get halfway to work, forget what I am doing and just go home sometimes, too.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

“Dragonsrite” Thanks – It’s a 13’ 9” “Aristo Craft” I had the boat when I was a kid (50+ yrs ago) I found the “exact same model” boat and motor, by accident a few years ago in Florida. It’s all varnish with a painted bottom. Sorry to say I don’t have many pictures. I’ll post more pics after Thanksgiving.
