I started woodworking about 15 years ago by building extra cabinets for my mother in her kitchen (if you ask her I still haven’t finished them). Started with a Black and Decker 1 3/4 plunge router and a skill saw and have been hooked on building something or anything ever since. Now I have a dedicated but small shop ( 120 sq ft) with a Craftsman table saw, Delta miter saw, Hitachi drill press, a couple of B & D routers, and of course numerous hand tools and gadgets. Starting to work on building actual furniture for the house, so I will update with pics as I get them done. As you can see from the pics of the shop I’m still trying to figure out how to organize everything and keep it functional. You can say its a continual work in progress but I always seem to have help from my trusty shop dog ( if I can just keep her from taking pieces of my shop out into the yard, dang dog)

You have a nice shop in which to work. I like the pegboard that you installed as a wall covering. It serves two purposes: (1) it adds vertical storage and (2) it brightens up the shop while being a relatively inexpensive way to add walls to the shop. This is a nice idea. I could not tell from the pictures but I assume that your table saw is mobile as it would need to be in order to efficiently use the space. And that is a nice picture of your “shop assistant” too.

Thanks for the post. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

Pretty nice shop that you should be proud of. I hope it inpires you to turn lumber into furniture.
Looking forward to seeing projects churned out from your nice shop.

Take care and be safe in whatever you’re doing.

I too work in a small shop here in Gainesville, only 235 sq ft. Keep us posted. I wish I had a shop dog!
