I saw some pine knots on a website and was in the woods this morning and picked up about 20 pine knots. These are pretty cool looking on the outside but are basically pine pitch.
My question is can you round the tops clean up the outside of the knots and apply a clear finish and then use them as home decor?

Check out what I did with a pine knot. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/82640. It was fun and this was the first pine knot that I have ever done.
Give it a try and see what you come up with, thats all I done.

Of course if you have some innovative ideas you can use them i have rounded them as top and used them on edges of rugs so that it keep it grounded, immovable and firm.and gives a little different look also.
