Hi everyone, welcome to terryR’s Rusty Saw Blog Series. Here I hope to document my efforts with these old pieces of history and pass on as many tips as possible…chances are you LJ’s will continue to teach me more than I know… I’ve always had a fondness for rusty, old tools…probably because I grew up in the countryside where old agricultural equipment is used for yard décor. Welcome back ya’ll…for part two of this series I promise more eye candy! Still considering myself quite the newbie, I wanted a saw of lesser value on which to practice. Ah-ha! Here in the pile was the perfect choice… This saw had a shiny coated medallion, semi-sharp teeth, seemingly very little rust, and the handle was painted black and orange. Welcome back everyone for the next chapter in my Rusty Saw Restoration… It seems that I’ve caught the vintage tool bug pretty bad: My shop suddenly needs more and more space for rusty bits, rust cleaners, and of course, the shiny restored tools.
