It all started six years ago when I purchased a manual saw mill. The idea was that I could harvest southern yellow pine from my property and my neigbors, trees for free, and build a barn/garage/storage/workshop. This has worked out rather well and the barn is completed. What a learning curve. I really enjoy slicing up a log to see whats inside. Throughout this endever friends will show up with different species of trees to be milled for turning blanks, and I end up with some lumber. So now its time to try my hand at woodworking. I'm keeping my projects simple and small to build my skills. This is were the LJ's wealth of knowledge comes into play.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

I want to thank all the lumberjocks that have e-mailed or left messages here for me. I’m still learning how to navigate this site. Hopefully I’ll figure out how to load some pictures to display my projects, and maybe do my profile. One lumberjock talking to another lumberjock, way cool.
Thanks, David.
