I found the number of vewers for the Pipe Holder, at 295 and only 1 time favorited, was very good sign for antismoking campaigners who I’m one of them, comparing these numbers with my previous project Curiousity, the 4FD, at more than 4500 viewers and 6 times favorited. It looks many people, now, have turned their back to smoking and do not like to hear anything about smoking or how to be taken. I received some kind of criticism just by making a pipe holder, here and on Facebook, because some viewers have seen it as smoking encouragement.
I had accepted a challange from a friend of mine who was a pipe holer collector and I found it a nice project that I have never thought about before, and it was not illegal anyway.

native american indians
used tobacco for prayer
they like to joke
that the white man smokes constantly
from frustration
and gets lung cancer
of course many of them abuse alcohol
to each his own

Sam hope you didn’t think that I was critizising. Smoking is smoking and woodworking is woodworking. I think automobiles put out too much unfavorable pulutants, but I still polish the chrome!!! Besides what other people do is not my concern.

I used to smoke cigarettes…
... when they went to 50 cents a pack, I quit “Cold Turkey”!
I switched to a Pipe! LOL
... and smoked it for years…
Then, I had a choice…
1. Would I like to continue to smoke my pipe… OR
2. Would I like to be able to BREATHE!
Then, I quit “Cold Turkey”... that was about 11 years ago!
I admire pipe racks, tobacco boxes, etc. BUT, I will never make any of them.
I do NOT admire them enough to make them a Favorite… That is in my past… and I’m very Glad & Happy that I quit. I should have done so long before I did… I just wasn’t faced with the real TRUTH before.
Sam, it’s still a nice project… I wouldn’t put very much Faith in the number of Favorites it’s made.
Have a good day.

I think it was a beautiful project, Sam.
Don’t see the “Teetotalers” complaining about the wine bottle balancer or the peace advocates warning us of the swords and night sticks posted here.
Keep up the great work, Sam!!

I was not upset with anyone. I looked at the greener site of the argument and said it was good sign. As a matter of fact, I was happy to see many people have quit smoking and their number was rising. Being seen as smoking encouragement, is their own will power issue.

Yes, I tried them all. Pipes, cigars, cigarettes. All but that funny weed that sends people crazy. LOL
The only thing about it Sam, I haven’t had a smoke in 9 years but if I knew I was leaving the planet tomorrow I would have a ‘white owl’ cigar or 2 or 3. Haha.
