I did not know that Planet Soccer was so famous that a local newspaper wanted to report it in the news. A reporter and her photographer came to our place and interviewed me and took some photos on Thursday, a day before the timber show, and the report was in the newspaper today.
Now you can see me with Planet Soccer in The Advertiser, if you click on: www.macarthuradvertiser.com.au
Thanks for reading the article.

well done sam ,

i agree ,
segmented is visually more stimulating , generally .

and the geometry and attention to the angles and cuts ,
is very challenging too .

i don’t have a lathe , but do appreciate the shapes and forms it can do .

your work is exquisite !

thanks for sharing .

I admire your craft, I just don’t have the patience to make all those little cuts. LOL

Nice, no, GREAT job on this Sam. I am not a soccer fan but I can certainly relate to the soccer ball and the skill it had to take to make this! The Li’l Lady keeps telling me I should do some segmentation, one day I will. I admire your craftsmanship and all your works.

Great news Sam.
I think the link has changed. The new Prime Minister has hit the headlines.

Congrats, Sam! Your work more than deserves this sort of recognition. I can’t think of a single project that you’ve posted that wouldn’t challenge seasoned woodworkers. I especially love what you’ve done with plywood.
