I had the pleasure of meeting up with VeniceWoodworker at a local watering hole here in my new home base of Venice Florida. The beer was cold and the talk flowed easily. I had a great time swapping life stories and having him fill me in on construction issues for this area (things I need to keep in mind as I look for a new house). And of course talk turned to old hand tools and and his rapid slide down the slope toward galoot-dom . Somehow he even managed to pick up my beer tab on his way out (Thanks, VeniceWoodworker, the next couple rounds are on me.).

For me it was a great experience and I highly recommend taking the time to meet up with Lumberjocks in your area.

Nice. I’ve heard about these get-togethers before. They always sound like a good time.

Swirt it makes the time on this site more fulfilling when you have had a meeting with your fellow lj’s. I hope all is well after the move.
