Nifty laser use

I am working on a commission project that required me to make a rather large hollow cylinder. It needed to be 9” in diameter with a 1/2” wall thickness, and about 11 inches long. The client wanted to use Jatoba, which I could only get in lumber, so I glued up an octagon to work from. That part as well as cutting the OD was simple, but hollowing out the interior was a challenge. I decided to set up my Jamieson deep hollowing rig, and then realized that I could also set up a line laser to give me a reference line to guide along with the on-board laser.
