« Part 3: dressing up the inside Part 4 of Big Rig by T& J series Part 5: Making parts »

The wife and I were away for a few days getting in some vacation time. I went back to the shop last night and did some work on the interior. Walnut dash with a ceder glove box, dowels for gauges, maple steering wheel and maple and ceder gear shift. the seats are walnut and ceder. The scale is not correct but I think it is close enough for the people I know.

I started to work on the radiator. My plan is to do a purpleheart insert. The radiator is walnut 1/4” the purpleheart is 1/8”Friday will be sanding day . Is their an easy way to do this? I just can not get it to fit square. I have made a bunch more scrap. To take a break I am working on a licence plate for my motor home.

This one is on the front of my truck.

I don’t know how your radiator looks like.

But maybe this helps;

not quite sure on what you are asking …... you did the best thing …..walk away …......when you return …....you might just figure it out yourself
