Well I didn’t finish much. My appendix acted up and I spent 3 days back and forth to the hospital before christmas. Luckily I got out on the 23rd and though I was in great pain I was able to finish the sewing of the bedding for the doll cradles and the wife painted them for me. Of course she spent the whole time worrying that she wasn’t doing a good enough job. I had to keep reminding her that they are toys and don’t have to be perfect. So the cradles got finished. I haven’t given them to the girls yet. We have been too busy to get together with my daughter’s friend and I really want them to get them at the same time. I showed my wife the bracelet in the stage it is now and she is very happy. she can’t wait till it’s done, but I won’t be able to work on it for a few weeks while I recover from the surgery. Oh well. At least she’ll get it eventually. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Have a happy new year too. May it be filled with creativity and sawdust!

I had emergency gallbladder surgery about 10 years ago- exactly 3 days after ACL ligament replacement surgery on the right knee. The knee surgery was incredibly painful. In contrast, the gallbladder surgery was a breeze compared to the gallbladder pain that precipitated the surgery. :) You will be up and about in a flash- I have no doubt. :) Glad you are on the mend!
