Well I’m still plugging away at these doll cradles. I have screwed both together and added the frames to hold the bed. I cut the bed out of 1/4” mdf and had to shave it a little bit because the cradles weren’t exactly square. All I have to do now is hand sand a bit and paint. It’s been a very trying learning experience. I am enjoying it though. I plan on sewing some pillows and maybe a mattress for them. They should be very pretty when they are finished.
I also have some puzzles to make. I plan on doing some tray puzzles for the girls. I bought a Dora the explorer calendar that has some nice pictures in it. I’m hoping they will like them. The only part I’m kinda nervous about is the gluing of the pictures to the wood, but my wife has done that sort of thing before so she said she’d help. If those work out then I am going to try and do some other puzzles for some of the grownups on my list. The puzzles themselves are rather easy to cut, so I’m not worried about that part. If I can get the big people puzzles done then I’m gonna buy up some cheap wood boxes from the dollar store to put them in. Maybe I’ll get my daughter to paint them up.
On top of that I’m making some bracelets for my wife and her mother. They are from a pattern I’ve never tried before so they should be fun. Hope everyone else is enjoying the holiday season.
