I am back from the ship and ready to get back out in the shop and make some sawdust! I started two projects over the weekend and have finished one. I will post pictures of both tomorrow. I am currently working on a desk for the wife to set her computer on and will be using scrap 2×4’s and some sand ply that has been waiting to be brought to life!! stay tuned for results….

Todays progress: I was able to get all the lumber milled and did a clamp up on everything, it all came together so I went ahead and finished all the pocket holes and added my hardware and finished assmbly. Now enter the curve ball… I was trying to figure out how to attach the top of the desk to the frame and decided to go the easy/simple way and attach it with my air nailer. Now I figured that I would fill the holes with wood putty and paint the desk white and no one would ever be able to know that I used the air nailer to fasten the desk top. This all sounds like a good plan right… WRONG the better half said that she would prefer the desk to be stained so I guess we will see how this turns out. I will post pictures tommorow showing progress to this point.

I must say that anyday you are able to get out to your shop make some sawdust it is a GREAT day.
