Well in a nutshell, I am a relative newcomer to the world of woodworking. I have kinda picked it up from my brother. I have always been a handy guy. So just picking up a tool here and a tool there I just learned how to use them in a home improvement sort of way. I learned that I can satisfy my creative needs by building things. Now I seem to concentrate more towards smaller projects. Money is kind of tight these days so these smaller jobs satisfy the need.
My shop is in my basement getting tighter with every purchase and pick up. I have no real background in woodworking. I do have a background in food. I have owned a deli in the past..... Owning any business will make you learn to be handy and creative. The economic downturn has left me relatively broke. Now I work for a friend, while looking for any better job. hopefully I'll find one soon. I am happily married to a very reasonable woman and have a beautiful 1 and a half year old girl. The family takes up a lot of time but they give me the inspiration to build more. In case your wondering I am Greek. As for other hobbies I hunt and fish quite a bit.
So now I am really happy to join this community. I have been admiring the projects and soaking up knowledge and picking up idea's along the way. I look forward to picking up advice and posting my pics. In the meanwhile I'll play with my table saw, scroll saw (addicting) and other stuff. Look forward t
