« Part 1: Materials and getting started Part 2 of Squirrel Whirler series no next part

Here is part 2! Unfortunately, I started working and didn’t really break until I was done. Actually it only took about an hour, so I just forgot to take pics in the middle, but here is the final product(excuse the mess on the workbench);

And this is what it will look like in the tree. All that is left is a couple coats of outdoor finish and a piece of corn to screw onto the end and its ready to whirl some squirrels!!

Thanx for looking and let me know what ya think!

Not sure that’s a humane way to handle animals.
I’m not sure it’s that amusing either.
If you are going to dispatch them fine, but if your amusement leaves them maimed or crippled ….???

Brad, they land on the area with the screw (it has corn on it at that time.) The force from the landing spins them around. You can click on the pics and see the fullsize images.

Bob, It does not injury the squirrels. Its more like a ride for them. I researched the product online before building it and most people say the squirrels that get use to it will even play on them when the corn is not changed. No harm to the animals.

Hi Brad:
The comment above is left from a response to the video that has been removed that shows some idiot hurling these little creatures against a tree in the background.

The rig you are making is fun for the squirrel and great entertainment for the family. I will be adding a couple to my “squirrel farm” too.
