Making your own stain #2: Making Water Based Stain

For the water based stain, I will be using Earth Pigment S.O.E. Blue and Lavender Blue

I added about 1 1/2 of spoon of each color into the container.

For the binder, I will be using Gorilla Wood Glue. You can use any PVA glue you want. I added about 2 1/2 spoon of glue.

Mix Well.

I then added water.

Filter it clean in another container.

Finished stain.

I don’t quite understand. Looks more like a paint. Never saw glue used. Wish you would have shown it used…

There I’ve added another photo.

If I thin it down more, it would look like stain. But I choose to have full strength.
