The stand is now painted, it did take a little work to get it cleaned up. I used SoyGel on the old finish that was caked on. I put it on and let it sit for 30 minutes and the old finish scraped right off. I was also able to find a could missing pieces that I needed for the tool rest. I’m getting ready to put the lathe back on the stand. Here is a picture of the tool rest before I put it together. I also got the head stock assembly put back together. It cost me about $70 for the two new bearing.
