getting close… finished the drawer fronts, so I’m nearly done with all cutting. Mostly left is sanding and the part I dread the most – finishing. That’ll be the make it or break it time.

Looks good! I see you added the drawer pulls you designed. Did you go with thicker material?

Best wishes on the finishing process. Finishing makes me queasy on larger projects.

I used the wood that I had. After planing, it’s still nearly 7/8” thick. And I tried to make the thin connecting strips as thin as possible – 1/16 to 1/8”. I added a support strip across the top to give it an illusion of thickness (and to mainly add strength). This picture might show it better:

i too am doing a project in mohagany but i like yours better,maybe we can switch? sounds fair,don’t you think?
