Location: Western Maine Mountains

Born and raised in the mountains of Western Maine, my life consist of my family, my six Newfoundlands, the woods and the vast natural materials that it offers. I spend every day walking in the deep woods to search for material that Mother Nature has discarded.

I have been a furniture maker since 1985. In 1996 I changed my furniture style from Shaker style to Rustic. With a Twig Furniture line and a log furniture line, as well as a Birch Bark line, my living was comfortable. Though I never got rich with my crafts, I was always able to put food on the table.

In October of 2008, I lost my shop to fire. With the lack of enough capitol to build a new shop and to get back on my feet, I chose to continue with my second love to furniture. I search for in the woods, collect, and process Spalted and Ambrosia Maple, Burls, Birch Bark, and Birch Logs, for the furniture maker, box maker, Luthier, fine wood worker, and hobbyist.

The reason I joined LumberJocks is very simple. I love wood, and I love to talk about wood. If you ever want to talk about wood or furniture making, I would love to talk with you.

Take Care
