Velez, I tried my best but was not able to correct the problem with my 218330 saw, as noted in post #11 in my 21833 review. Also see this thread, post #20 for more bad news- http://lumberjocks.com/reviews/990

I deleted the pics of my attempted fix from photoshop but will be happy to email them to you if you like, but caution that the problems I fixed and pictured were only the tip of the iceberg. The real root cause of the problem could only be corrected by replacing the arbor, the trunion, and the arbor support bracket. They are machined inclorrectly.

I would sure try hard to get Sears to fix the problem. Best of luck and sorry for the bad news.

Hi! can you share with me the process for fixing the aligment problem for the Craftsman 218330? I cant access the photos publised on your post. I have the same problem of blade aligment and I can't return the saw to the store. I live in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

    God Bless

Wow, Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I"m just astounded at the talent and craftsmanship evident in the projects here on LJS. Probably won't ever reach those levels, but hope to continue learning with my 'beginner' projects and continue to enjoy your projects.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get - or give - advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it's best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

    Please enjoy your membership.
