Welcome to my Page everyone! I'm glad you stopped by for a visit. Since you more than likely don't know me , it's always best to let you know a little about who I am and what my likes and dislikes are ( did I say dislikes? There aren't any really ) . I'm Northern born ( Minnesota ) to Danish and Norwegian decent and migrate to the Alabama area in the early 60's. My education in woodworking evolved through my Dad and my imagination to pursue anything associated with the Arts. My Grandfathers trades were in Blacksmithing and Wagon and Wheelwrights so I guess some of that has passed along to me.
I also was introduced to the art of music at an early age and am an accomplished pianist, which I've later found woodworking and being a musician don't mix but that's a story for later!
I'm married to a wonderful Southern Girl and will celebrate 38 years this coming June.
I have one son who is married and they are raising my first Grandson. Boy do I see my reflection of myself in him, all boy and going 90MPH non stop. Can you tell I'm Proud?
As for my woodworking , I enjoy designing and building most anything but my biggest pleasure is Period Furniture. I'm an avid antique buff so our home is filled with them. My shop is a free standing Gambrel style building 24' x 28' and fully equipped with the necessary machines and tools along with my collection of antique planes, yea I'm a Neanderthal too!

For the most part woodworkers like to build their projects from solid wood. Easily transported from the supplier to the shop and once in the shop easily moved from one machining operation to another but what about those times we decide the project...

I what to thank everyone for the warm welcome. Hopefully I can offer some of what I’ve learned in my woodworking experiences and I’m always up for learning a new challenge myself. This site has many new avenues to explore so bear with me in getting used to it, looks like I ‘ve got a lot of exploring to do.
