Slowly building up my shop. SLOWLY!

Turning a 2 car garage into a 1 car / shop

I have a friend (ichbinpete) that recently got me into woodworking. Slowly buying tools then upgrading some that I already have when I get good deals.

Ridgid 3650 Table Saw
Craftsman 1 1/2 hp Fixed Base Router w/Table
Craftsman 1/2 hp Drill Press
Craftsman Professional 1 1/2 hp Dust Collector
Craftsman 10 inch Chop Saw
Jet 6 inch Jointer (Recently Added)
Dewalt 735 Planer
Jet 1000B Air Filtration System

And most importants JET clamps!

Slimjim, it looks like you have a nice start on your shop to me. With the way your tools are arranged and the power tools being mobile I am guessing that you still have to park a car in your shop. I tried that for a long time but eventually gave up and let my truck sit outside. This saved me time on the constant tear down and set up, while letting me have room for more tools.

You have put together a nice collection of tools that look like you are well on your way with pursuing your woodworking hobby.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed taking a tour of your shop.

Scott, unfortunately we have 2 cars. I keep mine outside now but the wife’s car sleeps inside and that is how its gonna be for awhile. one day i will have my own shop!
