Skip, I completely agree with Splinterman’s comment. Being able to bring wood to life and reveal its hidden beauty is a gift. I truly enjoy seeing the end result of the talent and ability that it takes to create carvings, such as these.

I couldn’t resist checking in on you…another Skip…especially in Burgaw. Although Batavia is in western New York, our hearts are in Oak Island NC…the last few years my wife and I travel down #40 past you and spend October on the beach on OI. We absolutely love it there…of course I’m away from the shop for a month, but, walking the beach counting pelicans eases the pain. Your carvings are great! I seem to lean towards furniture and design myself. Take care, Skip!

Cool man’s cave you got there, an artist are we? That is cool man to have a nice quiet place to gather your thoughts and actually be able to “hear” the inspirations so that you might put them onto canvas or wood. Looks like your shop is a nice quiet get away. Thanks for sharing.
