As of now my entire shop revolves around my newly completed workbench.
I have just enough room to walk around my bench. I use mostly hand tools because I like them better. (The tools on my workbench in the photo are the only tools I used to build the bench)
I have an old oak shop table for piling tools on top of or other messy stuff I don’t want on my woodworking bench. (I have it tidied up for the picture) My plan is to build a wall behind this table to store tools on and I am working on plans for a handsaw till.
I have a good table saw and a cheap but okay band saw and that is about it for the power tools I use. I have a bunch of clip-on work lights that I can move around as needed.
This is all crammed into half of my garage along with ladders, paint, electric, plumbing, fasteners and thirty years of construction related tools and debris. I love it… just me and the spiders.

Hey, Skip. you’re on you way. We all started with few tools and as the years went on and we had the need, we added to it. I’m sure you will do the same. I use a $99 table saw for many years until I could afford a better one.

Thanks Jim – I will probably post a few more shop pictures soon. I plan to build a wall behind the oak table I mentioned above. I want to install plywood (unless I can find salvaged boards of some kind) on the entire wall so I can hang stuff up and get a little better organized.

That’s a nice heavy bench. Welcome to Lumberjocks.
