I am a middle school social studies teacher in Farmington, Maine. My dad was a woodworker after he retired. When he passed away he left me some woodworking toys. I started dabbling at it about five years ago right after I had finished building my passive solar earth bermed home. Then three years ago I added on a twenty by forty shop and started traveling to craft shows and art fairs. I only do about half a dozen a year but it keeps me real busy staying ahead of my inventory. In about six or seven years I plan to retire to this full time.
My biggest tool in the shop is my Jet 18" bandsaw as I specialize in bandsaw boxes made from natural wood pieces. I do some laminated boxes but mostly just start with a log or branch from a dead tree. I have enjoyed browsing the projects here on Lumberjocks and finally decided to join to show some of my stuff. Hope you enjoy!!!!
Mark
