What do you all think of this? If collage girls now will be able to get $3000.00 over 3 years for birth control protection, under Obama Care, the reasoning being that this is cheaper for all the rest of us tax payers than for the girl getting pergnet for having her social fun; and what is the cost for the rest of her socially fun life, then how much more cheaper is it for the tax payers to pay for a Saw-Stop table saw, about $3000.00, for all woodworkers so that the woodworkers can have safe fun doing their woodworking without the risk of losing a finger or hand and all the costly medical bills that go along with that, not to mention the cost of theripy and the cost if this woodwork ends up handicapped and can’t hold a job because of the injuries, and this is not to mention the cost of mental theripy for said woodworker even if there is no accident from the stress that happens every time that unsafe saw is turned on. And that nice new Saw-Stop would have an honared place in my shop and give me many years of enjoyment, many more than 3 years, and what socially fun girl can say that about her 3 years of birth control and all that goes with it? Looking forward to your comments and anything else that can be added.

I like your reasoning and I think we should put a proposal together and send it to Obama. Afetr all he is just handing money out left and right to people, I cant afford a new SS so the Gov should just give me one.

Fine logic. Even a discount on Health Insurance Premium for those with SS fitted would also encourage, many woodworkers to play safe.

Well I guess it wouldn’t be sexist if you were giving it to males too. Also, perhaps a form of birth control if the guys were in the shop all the time & too busy for thinking about reproduction (human that is)...

Steve,
Just another thought . . . When you write up this legislation, make sure to include that the government will pay for the replacement cartridge and blade whenever the stop is activated. Hope you have your lobbyists working on this already!

Right now almost all medical insurance programs and thus most females get birth control pills payed for. They have for years.
Maybe we can pay for sawstops like all the vasectomies that have been done on guys. They are pretty expensive and millions have been done and payed for with insurance programs.
Come to think of it. If people who eat to much and don’t exersize get blood pressure and cholesterol pills payed for in their medical programs then I should be able to get a sawstop easily.
If I were a Christian scientist I could argue the blood pressure pill thing I’d surely win for women women can’t get birth control pills because of religious reasons like some Catholics employed by the church can’t.
That’s why we can’t prefer one religion over another. It’s unconstitutional. Either they all pay alike, or no one does. If the latter then we all lose our insurance.
BTW… if Rush Limbaugh want’s to buy me a sawstop because his sluts are taking birth control, I’ll take it. No hotdog video required. ;-)

Thanks for all the comments. This was all done tongue in cheek, to make a point and to get people to think. However if birth control is deemed an entitlement for anyone that wants it, what is the reasoning? About all I have heard from the left is that is saves money on health costs down the road. If that’s the case than any safety equipment should also be an entitlement and it also saves money on health costs down the road, so should the government pay for safety equipment? If the argument is to supply said equipment just for on the job or in the course of making a living, (hope I don’t get in trouble here), then Rush was correct, maybe he used the wrong words, and if this equipment will be also supplied for personal enjoyment he was also correct, maybe he should have used the term “fun social girl”. As I look into the Constitution, Charles, it looks to me that about the only big ticket service that the federal government can provide is defense and it is being cut more and more each year. About 50 years ago it was over 50% of the budget and it is now under 20%, whats going on? And I don’t even want to get into drilling now will save money on gas prices down the road. Guess I will just have to save up to get that SawStop.
